Sustainability at HCA Healthcare

HCA Healthcare’s dedication to improving more lives in more ways is connected to our sustainability efforts. We strive to address critical health issues while also considering sustainability within our operations in a cost-effective manner.
Our strategy centers on incorporating the following three pillars into our operations:

Sourcing and consuming efficiently

As a part of our sustainability strategy, we continue to implement initiatives designed to reduce energy consumption, including capital investments where we deem necessary, new technology pilots, energy contracting and investments and medical gas initiatives.
Our Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions* declined 3.7%, and emission intensity declined 26%, for the period 2020 (baseline year) through 2024.
